The Last Thing I Remember by Andrew Klavan

SARRA

The Last thing I Remember ( The first book in the Homelanders series* ) begins with Charlie, a normal seventeen year old boy, waking up to find himself strapped to a chair. He can hear men talking outside of the small room, and they have just been given orders to kill him. This is a very exciting book that keeps you sitting on the edge of your chair. There are twists and turns that take you by surprise as Charlie's life takes a turn for the worst. He thought that he had been stolen out of his bed the night before. It turns out, he can't remember the last year of his life. He escapes from near death several times throughout the whole book. The ending could have been better, but it makes you want to read the second book in the series just that much more.

* The second book in the Homelanders series is called The Long Way Home , and is released in February of 2010.

did you just read that in one day?! wow! i wish i were a kid again. i'd love to spend my afternoons reading instead of wrangling two kids down for naps and trying to figure out what to make for dinner.
